Hey look a box! A day after Ford released the teaser video we see the first spy-shots of the 2021 Bronco is what appears to be production form. Very G-Wagon/Wrangler- esque from these initial photos.
Personally, I’m very excited to see this. We know Ford can produce some badass off-road trucks and having something else on the road that isn’t another gray crossover blob will be neat.

That rear mounted spare is interesting. Might be a standard aftermarket Wrangler part to throw off snoopers.

I don’t fancy it. I hope the production one looks better. I can’t exactly place what I don’t like, but I was expecting it to be a bit closer to the 2004 concept.

That’s a good point. Not sure when they’re set to debut, but I’m hoping for Detroit, although that seems early.

I can see what you mean. This looks more Wrangler-ish and not as beefy like that concept.

The teaser they put out said Spring 2020. I’d almost guarantee it’ll be at NAIAS.

Never mind that makes perfect sense. I completely forgot they moved NAIAS to June.

As a camoed prototype this thing is UGLY! I hope seeing the details on the production version changes my mind.
I can’t help but notice that they chose to fill the body out to the fenders unlike the Wrangler. Given similar exterior dimensions to the wrangler I assume this move will provide significant improvements to interior space.

I can see that too, which would be nice since Wranglers aren’t the most ergonomical vehicles.

I’m not excited. Ford have already said that Bronco won’t get an Australian release...so it is dead to me.
Besides...I think that’s an old photo of a Defender mule.
